Adhar Card is Now Mandatory for PF Transactions

Now Government has made Adhar Card Number a mandatory for Provident Fund Transactions.

Salaried employees in organised sector will have to provide their Aadhaar numbers for seeking benefits under the EPF scheme being operated by retirement fund body Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO)

The report also states that it will be mandatory for new members to submit their Aadhaar numbers as part of the KYC (Know Your Customer) verification from March 1, 2013 onward.

For existing members, the updation process is carried out in phased manner & in case one dose not have Adhar card, they have to provide Enrollment Id (EID), which will be converted to Adhar number later.

Enrollment for Aadhar Card is free. You can go to any authorised Aadhar Enrollment Centre anywhere in India with your ID & Address Proof.
